Executive Chairman

Harvey Nash are delighted to be working in partnership of this successful Glasgow based innovative life sciences company. As part of the recent investment the company is now seeking an experienced Chairman to lead the Board of Directors as deliver on its strategic plan as it grows.

Objective
The Chair will hold the Board and Executive Team to account providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Directors, ensuring that each Director fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the Company. The Chair will also support, and where appropriate, challenge the Chief Executive and ensure that the Board functions as a unit and works closely with the entire Executive to achieve agreed objectives. He or she will act as an ambassador and the public face of the Company in partnership with the Chief Executive.

- Efficiency and effectiveness
- Relationship with the Chief Executive and the wider management team

Experience
- Background in pharmaceutical sector
- Specific experience within pharmaceuticals at least one of the following: Life sciences, Safety pharmacology, Toxicology
- Previous experience chairing a start-up business successfully ideally within the Pharmaceutical space
- As strong senior network within the pharmaceutical sector
- Whilst not necessarily a scientist to trade, can demonstrate a solid understanding of the drug discovery process
- Knowledge of techniques, processes and testing within this sector

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and include performance related stock options.
