Job Description PURPOSE:

Position performs a wide range of highly diverse administrative and general support duties, of an extremely responsible and confidential nature, for the Vice-President of Regulatory Affairs; requiring a high level of tact and discretion. Position also responsible for providing related administrative support for Regulatory Affairs department as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Position reports to the Vice-President of Regulator Affairs. Interacts with internal and external sources at the upper-management level. May provide direction/coordination of workflow to lower level clerical positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Directs administrative activities, develops and organizes procedures, and uses considerable written and verbal communication skills in support of VP Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Affairs department.

Exercises discretion and judgment and works independently on a variety of complex and diversified special projects.

Handles correspondence and requests for information on behalf of the executive.

Independently researches and develops reports and budgets; draws conclusions and makes recommendations.

Performs a wide range of administrative and general support duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature.

Plans and prepares communications requiring skill, tact, persuasion, and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.

Under minimal supervision, works on a variety of complex and diversified special projects with only general guidance, input to changes in work processes and work flow is often required.

Working independently, participates in planning, conducts research, assembles data and prepares reports.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

A minimum of a high school diploma and 8+ years of relevant intermediate to advanced level of administrative or secretarial experience required.

Advanced level of proficiency with the MS Office suite of products (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

Demonstrated successful work history in handling the administrative requirements of senior management personnel
