An opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious individual to join our LGS Financial Services team, reporting to the Exchequer Services Manager, to play a key role in delivering high quality business support process services to our customers. Initially a 6 month contract this is a part-time role (18.5 hours a week over 4-5 days) & requires previous office administration experience plus good customer service skills. A minimum of Grade C at GCSE Maths & English is required. This post operates from our Mendip Shared Service Centre based on the Mendip District Council Offices site in Shepton Mallet.

The post will undertake and assist with a wide variety duties including:
* Assisting with the maintenance of the purchase ordering process
* Assisting with invoice processing through to production of payments (BACS/Cheques) to suppliers and other payees
* Dealing with account queries from staff and suppliers
* Assisting with production of information used to complete returns to government departments and other third parties
* Providing support and cover to the team with other functions as required.
