For a global bank in Lausanne we are searching for an ORACLE/ETL DEVELOPER to join the team.

THE JOB:

- Work with the Credit IT Team, business analysts and technical architects to validate and implement the functional specifications and technical design of Basel III compliance reporting.
- Implement new database schemas, load processes, consolidation and transformation processes
- Assist in performance tuning, data quality assessment, and metadata management
- Utilize standards, architectures, and processes to ensure that all code and development practices conform to company guidelines and industry best practices
- Participate in all aspects of the project life cycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with company change control processes
- Create and maintain documentation on Back End user procedures, reports and data definitions
- Develop technical concepts, responsibility for implementing the required and specified requirements to the projects according to the standard solution delivery processes within CS
- Create technical specification and implement diverse interfaces and ETL processes to and from other systems and within CS DWH
- Perform 3rd level support for deployed components
- Run acceptance tests in cooperation with Business and hand over to DWH operations and other support teams
- Provide support documentations and checklists according to the system engineering standards of CS
- The role involves working with people globally, including Zurich and New York.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- An ETL/Database developer with 3-5+ years of ETL experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience with Informatica PowerCenter
- Minimum of 3-4 years of DB experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, DTS, SQL Loader
- Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
- Experience with Informatica Designer
- UNIX Shell Scripting
- Data Warehousing experience that demonstrates strong analytical skills
- A strong knowledge of and experience with Oracle DMBS
- A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE:

- Datamodelling and metadata management experience
- Business Objects or OBIEE experience
- Oracle (11g) experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory) and German (would be a great advantage)
- Experience with JAVA development may be an advantage
- Informatica Power Center toolset would be a plus
- Working under tight timelines
- The ability to steer things forward
- Ideal banking background/experience (Basel II/Basel III and/or Financial Accounting experience)
- Several years of proven experience of design and implementation of reporting solutions based on Oracle databases, PL/SQL, Control-M job scheduling.
