ETL/DW Developer

A premier government department in Canberra seeks the services of two ETL/Datawarehouse Developers. 

The Person/s performing this role is expected to:

- Have previous experience in a Data Warehousing, Information Management or Business Intelligence Projects.
- Develop various functional components of the data warehouse and applications, including;
- Development of (primarily Teradata SQL) scripts and processes for loading and integration of data, 
- Physical table and database design
- Data cleansing functions, and;
- System management functions including load automation, data acquisition functions and others.
- Have previous experience with implementation and configuration of extract programs on source systems, utilising IBM Infosphere Information Server (ETL) full product suite, within an Australian Government Security Protected environment, including;
- Extensive installation and configuration experience with DataStage, Quality Stage and Information Analyser Infosphere Products, and;
- Knowledge and experience with foundation tools such as Business Glossary, Information Analyser and Metadata Workbench.
- Have previous experience within an enterprise data warehousing discipline with demonstrated delivery from a detailed enterprise wide data model at the conceptual, logical and physical levels.
- Participate as a member of  the project team to achieve its objectives through completion of allocated tasks, resources and deliverables - to schedule and to budget;

- Understand and describe BI requirements and evaluate data for conformance to expectations.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a small team.
- Have experience with delivering business outcomes on a project delivering a mix of technological and business process change.

The contract period is from March-June 2014, with extension possibilities of another 12 months.

Australian Citizenship and Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance is desirable.
