ETL Developer - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced ETL Developers within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Extract, Design and implement extraction and load control;
- Analysis, design, construction and implementation of Data Integration solution;
- Drafting and consultation on design and implementation documentation;
- Active, constructive input to method debate and discussion;
- Lead/mentor junior DataStage resources and conduct peer review;
- Analyse, test and promote changes to the environments following SDLC; and
- Contribute to existing standards, procedures and best practices for ETL framework.

SKILLS:

- 3+ years development experience with DataStage;
- Multiple full-life cycle BI or Data Migration project experience including both design and implementation on same projects;
- IBM DataStage (v7.5 or higher);
- Quality Stage;
- Knowledge of XML and or UMF;
- Sound practical SQL experience;
- Implementation of third normal form (3NF) and dimensional (Kimball) data models; and
- Leadership, coaching and mentoring of other DataStage specialists as senior.
