ETL Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ETL DEVELOPER to join our client in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Job Overview:
The ETL Developer will be responsible for analysing the business requirements, design, develop and implement highly efficient, highly scalable ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes. The Candidate is required to be team player, perform daily and project functions with a focus on meeting the business objectives on time within a rapidly changing work environment. The Candidate must show enthusiasm, flexibility and ability to learn new tools, techniques and development methods.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and design data collection, data staging, data movement, data quality and archiving strategies.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect, Data Architect, Business Analysts to understand business requirements.
- Work closely with Project Manager to develop and update the task plan for ETL work and to keep the manager aware of any critical task issues and dependencies on other teams.
- If and when necessary, lead and guide the ETL developers in data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, tunings and optimization, unit testing and integration testing.
- Provides reviews of deliverables and identifies gaps and areas for improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve production issues.
- Provides/reviews detailed technical specifications and ETL documentations required.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Provides post-implementation supports, responds to problem quickly and provides both short and long term resolutions.
- Provides end-users supports including business queries and requests.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with ETL tools or ETL programming.
- Five to ten (5-10) years of experience with IT projects and information development.
- Must have experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
- Must have experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with Pentaho PDI is a big plus.
- Ims HCRS data experience is a big plus.
