ETL Analyst Programmer

A leading university is currently looking for an ETL Developer for a 6 month contract role.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

o Degree in a relevant discipline with at least four years subsequent relevant work experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in information technology, ETL programming, ETL job or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training

o Strong experience with SAS Base programming or SAS Foundation is required and broader experience with the SAS toolset will be highly regarded

o Configuration, scheduling and job maintenance; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training

o Experience, knowledge and understanding of information technology and programming theory, developing in Client Server environments, with Web and database systems and knowledge of data warehousing, star schemas and relational database concepts, SCD and effective dates in data warehousing, sequences data flow scheduling

o Experience in diagnosing and resolving problems and priority setting, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a strong work ethic and proactive approach to completion of assigned tasks

o Well-developed interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients to successfully identify, analyse and articulate client needs, combined with strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to a variety of audiences and produce technical documentation as required

o The ability to provide expert advice and effectively contribute to and manage elements of team-based projects

o Understanding of the University's policies and procedures on Equity and Diversity, Performance Review and Development and WHS

o Experience with SAS Data Integration Studio v4.2 or above and the SAS EDI/EBI Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence suite of tools is desirable

o Knowledge of Oracle DBMS is desirable
