Estimator II

A worldwide industry leader in oil and gas handling equipment, operations and services, specializing in wellhead production, compression, processing and treating is seeking an Estimator II to join their team in Houston,TX. This is an URGENT NEED! Candidates local to the Houston,TX area or willing to self-relocate are preferred.

*MUST HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE U.S

Overview:This Estimating position will support company Production Equipment Division in pursuit of projects in Wellhead Equipment, Pipeline, Modular Production and Process Units for the Oil and Gas Industry Worldwide.

Responsibilities:

* Assist Senior Estimators, Applications Managers and Project Engineers in determining the bid and job scope of work, cost structure and dissemination of estimating responsibilities.
* Coordinate and analyze the tender documents and study the scope of work, project's schedule, etc. to identify potential major resources, fabrication location and equipment to be utilized in completion of proposed project.
* Develop the bid cost estimate of project fabrication and construction activities and services.
* Identify the critical materials to be estimated and prepares Vendor Inquiries in coordination with Supply Chain Personnel to insure utilization of the best price and delivery.
* Assist in the evaluation and selection of the successful vendor quotation with
* Supply Chain input.
* Ensure the assessment of costs/schedule of all proposed project activities.
* Prepare the bid price detailed summary and any variable cost and delivery impact.
* Provide the best cost estimates with the data provided in order to optimize the bid definition and coordinates bid review with Applications Managers and to assist in the development of the proposal package.

Skills/Tools:

* Good communication skills in spoken and written English are required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Proficient in use of Codeware Compress Software in the development of preliminary vessel design and Codeware Coster cost development a plus.
* Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, NACE, etc. Standards as they pertain to the Fabrication and packaging of Pressure Vessels and related equipment a plus.
* Able to commence work immediately or within short notice period.
* Able to travel to company Satellite Fabrication Facilities and Subcontractor Facilities as needed to familiarize with fabrication procedures and methods.

Education/Experience:

* Degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline with at least 3 - 5 years relevant working experience in petrochemical industry.
