Estimator

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking an Estimator to develop an integrated site project milestone schedule utilizing the long range plan in Charlotte, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Per diem and mobilization / demobilization will be available for qualified candidates. Actual pay rate will be commensurate with experience, so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Please indicate your desired rate during the application process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Obtain vendor quotes, engineers cost estimates and detailed competitively bid firm price, cost plus estimates and change order review
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Leads, and Responsible Engineers to ensure all milestones are appropriately scheduled and estimated

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years experience in the Engineering and Construction industry
- Power plant experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in quantity take-offs, including electrical, instrumentation and controls, and mechanical engineering change packages
- General knowledge of procurement processes is desired
- Experience with MS Project scheduling tool
