Background Our Central Government Client has a 11 month requirement for a Equipment Support Manager based in Bristol This UK Military Flight Training System (UKMFTS) is a Project Team within the Directorate of Combat Air Operating Center part of the Defence Equipment and Support.DUE TO THE URGENT NATURE OF THIS POST, PREFERRENCE IS CURRENTLY BEING GIVEN TO CANDIDATES THAT HOLD SC CLEARANCE Main Duties/ Responsibilities The Post Holder (PH) is responsible for overseeing the airworthiness of the Hawker Beechcraft King Air B200 and B300 series aircraft that operate from RAF Cranwell and RNAS Culdrose. The specific responsibilities to the post include acting as the platform Engineering Authority (EA); which includes all actions that are associated with the upkeep of the type design and Aircraft document Set (ADS). The post is designated to hold a Letter of Airworthiness Authority (LOAA) and provides direct safety and airworthiness support in accordance with the delegated level of authority; there is a requirement to have an aviation (military) background. The post holder is required to have a good understanding of the MAA regulatory process and procedures and also an understanding of the civil regulatory process; both the B200 an B300 aircraft types are operated with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approvals and Type Certification. In addition the post holder will interface directly with the contracted EASA Part 145 - Maintenance and Part M - Continued Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) organizations and also the associated Military CAMO's. More specifically the PH will be required to: * Uphold airworthiness requirements of the MOD MAA Regulations Publications (MRPs) and associated Regulatory Notices (RNs) and Regulatory Instructions (RIs) as appropriate. * Review all changes to the MRPs, RNs and RIs and consider the impact on the process within the TA PT. Alerting the TA MESA team to all significant changes that may have an affect on TA airworthiness processes * Assist when appropriate the registration and certification for both military and civil variant aircraft acquisitioned within the UKMFTS construct by liaising with MAA SME. * Organise all Air Safety meetings or Working Groups within the mandated timescale and to ensure that minutes are produced in a timely manner * Review of platforms Safety Cases (6 monthly) inline with the relevant Platform Safety Meetings. * Ensure the Statement of Operating Intent and usage is reviewed (annually by AOA and 3 yearly by DO). * Monitor both the Air Safety Information Management System (ASIMS) database and HBC website for Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs), Service Bulletins (SB's) and Airworthiness Directives (AD's) that relate to the KA 200 and 300 series aircraft and alert TA MESA Team as appropriate. Liaise with the Mil CAM to ensure the appropriate response action is taken. * Manage the Release to Service (RTS) documentation, liaise regularly with the RTS Authority.
