Environmental Regulation Advisor - Glasgow - 12months

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION ADVISOR for a 12 MONTHS fixed term contract based in GLASGOW.

You will be required to provide advice, guidance and leadership on all aspects of the strategic and operational interface with the SEPA Areas and manage specific environmental regulation portfolios providing advice, guidance and leadership across the business on the impact of new and forthcoming environmental legislation and regulatory issues, and to work with all external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory drivers.

Essential skills - - Environmental Regulation, especially relating to waste and wastewater, both UK and Scottish Regulations and European Directives
- Knowledge of the overall regulatory environment in which the English & Welsh Water and Sewerage Companies operate and understand the differences between the two regimes
- Basic Excel and Word skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

- Good people and assertiveness skills
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
