ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT for a Part Time CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NEWARK, DE.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Environmental Consultant is responsible for managing compliance and continuous improvement of site environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, federal and state regulations, permits and corporate standards.
- This role provides leadership, technical support, program auditing and assistance with strategy development for site programs and initiatives.
- Implementing and auditing environmental programs, compliance strategies and management systems and tools, working with site leadership and site personnel to maintain high standards of performance and awareness of environmental issues and maintaining certifications to ensure continued compliance.
- Provide timely environmental metrics and reports both internally and externally and provide environmental guidance and consultation to the site and business.
- Environmental consultant will facilitate inspections by regulatory agencies; actively participate in site and corporate networks, safety and environmental efforts. Additionally, the role will also provide support in maintaining ISO 14001 certification for the site, be responsible for submitting state and federal compliance reports and provide technical support for existing regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining the site's air permit including periodic renewal, record keeping, compliance and reporting
- Responsible for characterizing and managing site wastes including hazardous wastes
- Submitting annual Tier II report
- CEP data reporting (twice per year)
- Assisting with Safety, Health and Environmental program (including conducting annual safety meetings, updating environmental procedures and training material)Leading the site's distribution program
- Assisting with management of change reviews and environmental incident investigations
- Performing safety and environmental 1st Party Audits

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Chemical, Environmental Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent work experience
- Five (5) years in Environmental Consulting.
- The ability to foresee and anticipate problems and make appropriate adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex regulations and to work with site to ensure compliance. Environmental regulatory knowledge in air, hazardous waste management and some manufacturing experience/understanding is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, achieving results on time and ability to influence/negotiate with others at various levels of the organization and with regulatory agencies.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Good computer skills
- DOT certified
