Our key rail client based in Birmingham are currently recruiting for an Environment Manager on a contract basis for 3 months

Role will involve outlining any environmental issues consistent with overall safety objectives and development of the existing system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support and provide guidance on environmental issues
- Monitor the implementation of environmental plans, strategies, standards, procedures, regulations and statutory legislation.
- Support the measurement and certification of performance against environmental legislation
- Lead, develop and maintain the Environment system, and documentation and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Highlight areas for training.
- Prepare Environmental impact assessments to meet planning requirements

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience in managing environmental matters within construction or rail
- Knowledge of Environmental legislation
- Experience of working with environmental compliance
- Auditing experience

DESIRABLE:

- Associate Member of the IEMA
- Understanding of Quality and Safety Management Systems.
