Entry-Level Support Engineer/Logistics Technician

ENTRY-LEVEL SUPPORT ENGINEER/LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN SANTA CLARA, CA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

OVERVIEW: Position includes working in our asset center, providing computer/parts delivery and pick up, often using a company vehicle. Other duties include providing very basic system support (hooking/unhooking machines), system inspections and wipe downs, inventory, and ticket tracking. We look for people that are highly motivated and that will be a dedicated member of our team.

TASKS TO INCLUDE:

- Processing scrap computer equipment
- Knowledge to determine storage media has been removed from various devices (laptops, Servers, desktops)
- Processing equipment for resale
- Shipping and palletizing various electronics
- Asset management with inventory

MUST BE ABLE TO:

- Create RFM (repair for maintenance) tickets
- Wipe/Test/Clean/Inspect systems
- Weekly spot checks of inventory
- Update system status in Asset Center
- Make daily trips to for deliveries
- Make other deliveries/pickups as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

- 6months + related work experience or equivalent technical training
- Proficiency with Windows (basic navigation, running applications)
- Basic understanding of computers and PC hardware components
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Work an 8am 5pm shift Monday- Friday
- Must be able to pass 10 year criminal background check and drug screen
- Required to wear steel toed boots (one time reimbursement if you need to buy a pair before starting)
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
