Enterprise User Experience Architect - Contract Position

Large, Federal Government Department seeking two Enterprise User Experience Design Architects for 12 month contracts beginning 1 July 2013. A further 12 month extension option is available.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Engagement/collaboration with stakeholders including Enterprise Architects, Business Analysts and Delivery teams.
- Conducting research and gathering business requirements for identifying technology constraints and opportunities in the user experience space affecting organisational and program objectives.
- Providing guidance, best practice and design-lead strategies for key programs where user experience requires an enterprise architectural perspective.
- Supporting the development of greater business engagement through co-design and design-labs.
- Assisting the Program Management Group in identification of successful metrics used to evaluate business solutions. This will be used in benefits realisation.
- Assisting head of Business Architecture to develop co-design and business-design methodology and best practice.
- Collaborating and sharing strategic direction to allow Enterprise Architecture to utilise the existing UCD framework, research activities and ensure their appropriate engagement within the program and project plans.

TO BE A SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

- Extensive experience in an equivalent field of design and a strong portfolio
- Demonstrated and proven expertise in user experience design and architecture, participatory design, research and digital strategies for innovating existing business processes and services
- Strong oral, written and visual communication skills as well as consulting skills
- Strategic thought leadership skills
- Strong leadership skills
- A detailed understanding of architecture methods and patterns
- The ability to understand business goals and objectives, make recommendations to design and transform into the Dept's organisational and enterprise strategies
- The ability to use and defend industry and academic research
