Our client is a thriving, successful, oversubscribed, 11-16 mixed, comprehensive school whose roll has increased dramatically over the last 18 years.

They are looking for an English teacher to join them in September 2013.

The role is to cover Maternity but they will offer a permanent contract for the right candidate as they look to overstaff the English department.

It is one of the largest 11-16 schools in the country and includes a specialist centre for pupils with speech or communication difficulties.

This school is the most successful and sought after school in the area. They have an intake of 300 students per year and over 700 applicants.

It was designated a Training School in 2002, a Leading Edge school in 2004 and a Specialist Performing Arts College in 2005. It has the Advanced Healthy Schools award.
Since the last Ofsted report, the school has gone from strength to strength and is regularly achieving GCSE grades above the national average.

Pupils are provided with first class ICT facilities and offer an extensive range of extra-curricular activities.
