ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ANKENY, IA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Industrial automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLCs.
- MS Office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Job function is preventive maintenance & troubleshooting automated equipment at Ankeny production facility, along with secondary duties to support Engineering design team including assembly and testing of prototype equipment.
- Opportunity for an individual that can work under the direction of scientists and engineers with the independence expected to complete tasks assigned.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision. Little creativity is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- This position requires ability to work with state of the art automated equipment
- Ability to analyze equipment and diagnose problems.
- A successful applicant must have excellent electrical, mechanical, and computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to program or be familiar with languages for troubleshooting electronic PLC's and controllers.
- Person should have experience with farm field equipment (tractors, combines) with the ability to conceptualize designs to deliver new research equipment.
- Also, testing, troubleshooting and evaluation of new research.
- Requires two to five (2 to 5) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general hand tools a must.
- Must have ability to navigate Windows and have above average understanding of computer software structure.
- This position requires physical agility, including standing/walking for eight (8) hour days, plus climbing/standing on ladders for extended periods of time.
