Engineering Technician

*THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY FOR A QUALIFIED ENGINEER TO WORK FOR THE LEADING COMPUTER COMPONENTS MANUFACTURING COMPANY.*

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

- Debug various high speed (>1GHz) and low speed (~10MHz) analog circuitry, switching and linear power supplies
- Perform MIPI DSI conformance testing
- Update conformance test documentation, as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree with 5+ years of experience desired
- Demonstrated ability to use various pieces of test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzer) to make high-speed (>1GHz) differential measurements
- Demonstrated ability to understand and debug high speed differential circuits, switching power supplies, and linear power supplies
- Soldering proficiency with rework experience down to 0201 size components
- Ability to use, create, and update test plans
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble small mechanical devices (eg cell phones)
- Ability to read and interpret a schematic
- Fluency with Windows based programs (ie Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Cadence schematic and PCB tools to view schematics and PCB files

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with the MIPI display (DSI) and camera (CSI) protocols
- Demonstrated experience with MIPI DSI and CSI conformance testing
- Experience with Xilinx FPGA tool

Estimated hours per week: 40 standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Overtime not permitted without preapproval
