Engineering Specialist (m/f)

-Design, development, and evaluation testing of automotive electronics hardware for instrument clusters, body electronics modules and smart power distribution units:
-Design & develop electronics hardware for clusters, body control and smart J/Bs with focus on cost efficiency and design for manufacturing
-Evaluate chosen design directions and confirm their suitability
-Preparing and issuing of documentation of the electronics hardware design, evaluation testing, release, etc.
-Discuss electronics hardware design strategies, procedures and solutions with customer.
-Interface and communicate with other participating hardware engineering organizations at client.
-Interface with component suppliers to assure cost efficient and high quality product performance
-Adopt project role of Hardware Lead Engineer when required.
-Responsible for overall product Hardware Architecture
-Coordinate/Lead Hardware Engineers on assigned project
-Ensure all project deliverables meet required standards
-Ensure activities and timescales agreed with Project Management are met.
-Represent client at customer meetings
-Liaise with outsourcing suppliers:
-Assess supplier's capability to participate in development projects
-Monitor supplier development processes,
-Ensure requirements are understood and delivered hardware design is meeting client's needs in terms of quality, costs and timing.
-Define deliverables from the outsourced supplier.
-To prepare, update and establish the departments QMS development procedures and work instructions as required.
-To evaluate and select hardware test, evaluation and development tools.
-To investigate and be updated on new hardware design methods and techniques.
-To co-ordinate and participate in benchmark activities such as research, record and present customer profiles and trends.

-Degree in Electronics

Knowledge in design responsibility for Hardware Electronic developments from -concept through to mass production
-Design Responsibility for a Hardware Electronic developments in

either Automotive Instrument Cluster de -sign or body electronics design, from
concept through to mass production -Extensive experience with automotive manufacturing environment and automotive
qualification/validation requirements -Good knowledge with hardware design tools for schematics capture and
simulation (preferably ORCAD Capture and PSPICE). -Knowledgeable in the EMC field, especially best layout practice for EMC
compliance. -Knowledge of thermal management of power electronic devices at PCB level.
-Basic understanding of electronics software design and of mechanical design.
-Good understanding of electronics manufacturing (design for manufacturing, design for testing)
-Fluent in English
