Engineer Service

Engineer service French/Dutch/English 11 months + extension - Brussels

A company based Brussels is currently looking for Engineer service who speaks French, Dutch and English.

Daily duties:
The first goal of the project is to introduce new processes and tools to assess in a systematic way the expected generation adequacy between year-ahead and week-ahead.
This ranges from describing the needs, assessing existing tools, implementing the necessary processes, describing working procedures and training employees.
Secondly, the contractual framework of coordinating power plants needs to be reviewed. This means the current contracts need to be analysed, necessary modifications have to be drafted and the new contracts have to be implemented.

Project management tasks:
organizing and follow-up of the work packages of the project, preparing status reports
Taking the lead in the project core work of systematically assessing generation adequacy: describing the needs, evaluating the use of existing tools, implementing operational processes and procedures, describing inputs and how to build them, etc.
Coordinating and participating in the updating process of the contractual framework.

Skills Required:
Experience in project management
Basic knowledge on the domain of generation adequacy
Knowledge of the TSO business is a plus
Knowledge of the Belgian energy landscape and organisation of its electrical system
Knowing the basics of describing business requirement for IT implementations
Knowledge of probabilistic methods is a plus
