Energy Project Engineer

Energy Project Engineers/Managers (1x Electrical & 1 x Building Services) will be required to develop a series of work streams associated with a multi million pound carbon reduction investment programme across the MoD's built estate in Central England and Wales.

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a building services environment, construction refurbishment or electrical HV/LV systems and are capable of working with minimal supervision. Experience on previous energy reduction projects would be advantageous although not considered essential.

The roles will require travel to a number of sites and feasibility assessments will be required along with identification of further projects whilst on site which fit the programme criteria and tight payback requirements.

Specifications or scope of works will be required along with consultation with manufacturers for product selection plus suppliers to obtain competitive tenders.

Meetings will be conducted by the PM to include the site SEDM & TSO's plus SETL's, these being the sites estate management team along with the on-site technical services personnel. Consultation and agreement with the site team is necessary before progressing further.

Projects will vary in approach from individual to technology roll-out and cost from one thousand to two million pounds. Further details will be provided.

Development of these work streams into individual projects has already begun and must be prepared for an April/May 2013 start on site. In order to achieve the demanding time-lines of the programme, additional temporary Project Manager?s will be added to the existing Energy Team. The energy team are actively engaged in completing the 2012/2013 projects.
