SENIOR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Princeton, NJ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Advise and counsel managers on disciplinary issues including misconduct, policy violations, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Enforce and execute disciplinary steps in accordance with policies and appropriate regulatory guidelines.
- Review involuntary terminations and disciplinary decisions for fairness, consistency and potential legal liability.
- Investigate, assess and recommend resolutions to employee relations issues raised through various means, including company action lines and direct contact from field management and employees via the contact center.
- Track metrics regarding trends and patterns of discipline - including volume, case type.
- Provide performance management support and coaching to managers (and staff within the Employee Relations Center) with the intended goal of growing manager's expertise in this area.
- Mediate performance and employee/manager issues.
- Represent as needed to external regulatory or legal authorities as part of resolving complaints or disputes.
- Change leader for the Employee Relations Center initiative and actively provides communications to HR, Legal, Business Leaders, Managers, and Employees that support the vision and value of the Employee Relations Center.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Undergraduate (bachelor's) degree in business, human resources or related field. Advanced degree preferred: MBA or masters in Human Resources. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CIPD) is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience with employee relations and conducting investigations
- Must be current on all applicable local, state, country, regional employment laws - including affirmative action and discrimination (as relevant).
- Proven skills in coaching front-line leaders on investigation and progressive discipline issues.
- Proven documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage issues that are time-sensitive and highly confidential
- Able to work under pressure and keep calm
- Must be accurate, have an eye for detail and be capable of composing good letters with minimal support
- Should be comfortable working with a remote UK based manager
