A rare opportunity to join our talented Employee Realtions team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a chance to work in a blue chip HR function, candidates must have experince working on TUPE and re-structuring projects.

Job Summary:

This role provides the business with a wide range of Employee Relations support based service - ranging from analytical information to specialist advice and bespoke tailored documentation. The Employee Relations team, has primary responsibility for providing specialist advice to Line Managers on key aspects of Employee Relations, Legislation, tailoring and approach of policy with individual responsibility for managing an extensive and challenging caseload. The role operationally supports business led initiatives and ER based project from inception to delivery. The incumbent will work closely with other key specialist areas such as HR Business Partners, HR Services and Reward, as well as Line Management at all levels to provide an excellent integrated service to the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

◦Interpretation of Yell's policies and practices in an effectively through the application of coaching. Provide advice to empower Line Managers at the most complex level of ER processes (grievance disciplinary, performance, appeal, conduct, absence management)
◦Through coaching, provide a balanced and financially linked analysis of risk to Line Managers - addressing both external (legislative) and internal (commercial) requirements.
◦Full handling of complex ER caseloads to ET level where appropriate.
◦Full Operational delivery of TUPE transfers, scale redundancies and organisational restructures
◦Interpreting and applying technical HR knowledge to support the achievement of business strategy, ensuring that the business is given consistent advice and coaching in line with colleagues.
◦Providing advanced operational support to Head of Employee Relations and wider Business Partner community in supporting ER led projects including TUPE, organizational re-design, implementation of contract variations and redundancies.
◦Work as a team to manage caseload, share knowledge and to heavily reduce reliance on external advisory costs.
◦Application of creative recommendations in line with the commercial requirements of the business.
◦Development and ownership of processes/templates/guidelines

Critical Skills:

◦Thorough understanding of employment law, current case law and the Employment Tribunal process.
◦Evidenced experience of operational delivery of TUPE process from initial project scoping, through to due diligence and transfer.
◦Evidenced experience of full project management of redundancy processes and operational management of organisational restructures, (including contract variation).
◦Evidenced Employment Relations experience together a demonstrated level of commercial awareness, culminating in the ability to communicate ER process effectively to senior management whilst balancing commercial requirements of the business.
◦Ability to quickly build credible relationships with key stakeholders across the business and ability to recommend and influence at a senior level.
◦Effective and committed ownership of tasks, strong organisational skills with the ability to review priority workload, and flexibly deliver to deadlines.
◦Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
◦To able to work with the minimum of supervision, utilising own initiative and through team working to make effective and consistent decisions.

Experience:

◦Employee Relations at complex level, Evidenced ET experience
◦HR and business experience within a matrix organisation.
◦Proven ability to influence, advise, and support at senior management level
◦CIPD qualification
