Embedded Systems Developer

An exciting new opportunity has risen for an Embedded Systems Developer to work with a well-established large European Cable Operator, who are developing a next generation DTV platform providing triple-play and over-the-top video services to its customers.

As part of this project, the client is looking for an Embedded Systems Developer to contribute to the port of a Middleware Framework on a Legacy Embedded STB. The developer will work with TV applications developers.

The successful candidate will need to have - - Minimum of 5+ years related experience in an expert delivery environment within STB/DVB/DTV arena.

- Expert Knowledge in/of:

o Solid understanding of C, C++

o Knowledge of ARM, x86, MIPS64, Microchip 8 & 16 bit architectures

o Expert knowledge of Operating Systems such as VxWorks or Linux/RTLinux/ucLinux (including ability to develop Linux Kernel patches) - o Good knowledge of Device Drivers and device driver development and tuning

o Graphics chip set programming skills

o Graphics application development skills on Embedded systems
