My client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer join on an initial 6 month contract.

The Role:

- Embedded Software Engineer
- Work competently with hardware to independently solve problems

Required:

- Experience of developing user space modules of large software stacks driving GPUs or other major SoC subsystems for Linux/Android.
- Expert knowledge of C/C++
- Experience of software optimization and instrumentation
- Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.

Desirable:

- Experience in large, multi-site software development projects
- Knowledge of full Software life-cycle including specification design, test and documentation
- Experienced with software design methodologies including some experience of UML
- Experience in 2D/3D graphics technology and standards such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES, OpenVG, M3G, Direct3D Mobile, DirectX and EGL.
- Experience of Agile software development
- Experience with UNIX development environments
