Embedded Engineer - West Midlands - £30-40 per hour

ROLE: Embedded Software Engineer

LOCATION: Leicestershire

LENGTH: 6 Months

I have a new opportunity for a leading client based in Leicestershire. They specialise in the provision of navigation systems and have a contract requirement for an Embedded C Software Engineer based in Leicestershire.

They are currently in the process of developing their next generation products and working amongst a dynamic team you be crucial for the bringing these new products to launch.

Prospective applicants will be able work autonomously to help define the architecture of new products. You will be responsible for software specification and design of these products, you will be capable of writing clear functional test specifications for your work. It is essential that you are able to write high quality robust code in a clear structured manner which can be readily tested and maintained.

Applicants will have demonstrable experience Embedded software design and integration ideally in the field of electro-mechanical motorized products or similar.

Key Skills:

C++ for embedded applications
Experience in the following is desirable:
Embedded PC software development
DSP programming
FPGA programming, preferably in VHDL
Algorithm development
Matlab / Simulink
Sensor systems
Microcontrollers
Multi-threading, comms, etc
