Electronics Engineer - Automotive - 12 Months - Essex

An Automotive client based in Essex is looking for a general electronics design engineer. This will be for an initial 12 month contract.

Role:

* The candidate will work on development of electrical hardware systems for audio or driver information products.
* He/she will be responsible for part or all electrical circuit design of audio products, typically working under direction of a senior electronics engineer.
* The candidate must design and develop circuit design from breadboard to printed circuit layout using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
* Also conduct lab testing using a wide range of test equipment, including logic analysers, oscilloscopes, data loggers, and CAN network tools.
* Ensure all aspects of the design support the vehicle environmental and EMC requirements.
* Work closely with the manufacturing Plant following the product through the prototype builds and production launch.

Skills:

* Analogue electrical circuit design experience.
* Design and development experience of circuit design from breadboard to circuit layout.
* Experience of schematic capture & circuit simulation.
* Experience of laboratory testing including logic analysers, oscilloscopes, CAN network tools etc.
* Schematic capture and simulation tool skills.
* Good knowledge of automotive electronic products.
* Low cost, high volume manufacturing knowledge with an understanding of processes and constraints.
* Working knowledge CAN bus and other protocols.
* Knowledge of automotive electronic products
* Some automotive electronic design experience.
