Electronics Engineer

URGENT - ELECTRONIC DESIGN ENGINEER VACANCY - TEESIDE - PERMANENT Huxley Associates are currently working with a Key Client in Teeside to find Electronic Design Engineers on a permanent basis - are you interested?? You would be joining a small, motivated team that has successfully developed and marketed potable radiation measurement devices over many years. These products have been primarily aimed at the Oil & Gas sector, but increasingly are finding applications in a diverse range of markets. My client are now globally recognised as one of the leading suppliers of Hazardous Area approved radiation monitoring instruments for use in explosive atmospheres. The successful individual will contribute to the full product design cycle of portable instrumentation from initial concept through electronic, software and housing design, product certification and initial manufacture. You will also ensure that the design and development of products satisfies customer requirements and meets both timescale and budgetary constraints. At times you will be expected to independently manage projects, while other projects may be run as part of a larger team. You will be accountable for quality, safety and fitness for purpose and the production of high quality product specifications and documentation and you may also be expected to manage external design resources. Essential Qualifications/Requirements * Electronics Degree or equivalent * Demonstrable experience in an electronics design engineer role * Broad experience in the design and development of microprocessor-based electronic instrumentation. * Proficient embedded C programming * Experience in analogue and digital electronics design * Experience with Microcontroller based designs PICMicro, ATMega * PC application programming * You should be a creative problem solver with the ability to operate in a fast paced environment * Excellent organisation and project management skills * The ability to be adaptable and possess initiative to work independently where required * Excellent interpersonal skills, to be able to communicate effectively and confidently with customers and to develop close working relationships with colleagues This position will open up an opportunity to you that no other company in the UK can, as the equipment that this client manufactures does not have any direct competition in the UK market, making this a lucrative and exciting role that I know will generate a lot of interest in the market!
