Electronics Development Engineer

A superb contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics development Engineer to work for a leading Automotive Tier 1. Successful candidates will have worked on Audio, Navigation and Telematics in the Automotive sector.

Our client specialise in the manufacturing and distribution of In Car Entertainment (Electronics).

A requirement exists for an experienced Electronics development Engineer, au fait with product development for manufacture, data capture and electronics design.

Position overview:

Introduction:

An exciting opportunity, working for a global tier 1 automotive OEM electronics supplier for audio, navigation and telematics products, in a varied role covering requirements capture, testing and development support.

Job Specification:

Educated to an HNC/HND or Degree level in electronics Engineering, or equivalent.

Main Functions:
You will be required to provide application Engineering support, effective management of the product development cycle and product testing according to project requirements. In this role you will create specifications, lead problem solving activities, provide support for post design release activities as well as creating and maximising business development opportunities by maintaining customer relationships at all levels.

The candidate must be able to understand automotive audio, navigation and telematics control unit architecture. An understanding of vehicle integration is preferred.

The candidate must:
Be customer focused.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess necessary skills for audio/navigation/telematics product integration, CAN bus/Vector tools, testing and evaluation.
Have a methodical approach to problem solving.
Be flexible to travel to locations in the UK and abroad.
Possess a clean driving license.
