Electronic/Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer - South - 6 Month Contract - Immediate - Rates Negotiable

Ideally must have experience of:

Setting up and managing test facilities and resources Testing of electrical machines, inverters & electronic control systems
Product validation at both product and sub-assembly level
Environmental and EMC test experience Data acquisition and presentation of measurement data
Developing electrical products ideally electrical machines

Typical tasks will involve:

Specifying and configuring motors and/or power electronics for internal and external projects
Contributing to motor development from an electrical/electronic perspective
Responding to customer queries regarding the sizing and control of motor and/or power electronic systems
Supporting the team on technical queries Specifying electrical components, wiring looms and schematics
Developing and implementing test plans for individual components and motors
Investigating, specifying and configuring DAQ systems and test equipment for internal use
Producing electrical/electronic system content for product documentation
Working with mechanical design team to produce application-specific motor and system designs
Participating in technical meetings with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Conducting feasibility studies on potential system designs
Preparing reports, presentations and other documentation for internal and external circulation
Working with suppliers to investigate new concepts and resolve technical

This is obviously a niche job role but all good engineers with relevant experience will be considered.
