Electrical Technician

High Voltage Electrical Technician required by Runcorn based manufacturing company for a rolling 6 month contract.

The position is to work days, and is based on a non negotiable site rate of approx 17.50 per hour PAYE or 20.40 per hour Ltd Co.

The successful HV Electrical Technician will have a minimum ONC / HNC In Electrical Engineering, and ideally served an apprenticeship in electrical utilities or heavy industrial sector. This will be backed up with a minimum 10 years experience on High Voltage electrical systems in operation, maintenance and inspection / testing. The person should have also been an Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with proven switching experience up to 11KV. A proven track record of testing transformers, HV motors, cables, switchboards, earthing systems etc. Also required is knowledge of HV condition monitoring techniques (mehhar, polarisation indeax, partial discharge, thermography, oil analysis etc)
