Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Assystem are working alongside an internationally renowned Automotive Manufacturer as a recruitment partner for their worldclass production facility. As part of a recent expansion, with various new programmes, Assystem are currently seeking applications for a number of contract and permanent positions within their Maintenance Team for experienced commissioning engineers to work on the introduction and start up of new facilities and equipment.

This particular role is a for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work on a 6 - 12 month (possible extension) contract. The ideal candidate will have experience of commissioning new equipment into a production ready state. Typically, our client uses FANUC, Mitsubishi and OMRON although applications with experience of Allen Bradley and Siemens will be considered.

The suitable Maintenance Engineer will ideally be experienced in maintaining and setting up electrical and mechanical systems in manufacturing plants such as Automotive/FMCG/Pharmaceuticals/Food and Primary metal production.

You will be capable of commissioning, problem solving, maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment including at least 4 of the following:-
* SCADA and HMI based system
* PLC programming and development
* Robot cells / CNC machine tools
* Relay logic and PLC control system diagnostics
* AC and DC drive systems
* Mechanical handling systems
* Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

Other aspects of the role will include being capable of developing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance checks on manufacturing plant and services.
