An interesting and challenging new role has just opened up working for a major engineering firm as an Electrical Estimator. You will be estimating for works associated with energy to waste and biomass power generation plant projects.

The role is a permanent position meaning that career progression up and across the organization will be a very real possibility. My client is a rapidly growing company taking on new staff due to increased demand so this role can open up so many doors for the right candidate!

In the role you will be expected to effectively estimate for the cost associated with the electrical components associated with biomass & energy to waste power plants . This will mean calculating and forecasting labour and material costs from a few thousand pounds up to a couple of million.

The right candidate will already have estimating experience working on similar projects and have the ability to be credible and confident in front of clients. Candidates that have estimating experience in the following industries would be well equipped for the role:

* Degree or HND in engineering or sufficient background technical knowledge
* Experience estimating on similar projects
* Commercial knowledge of terms and conditions of contracts for clients, suppliers and subcontractors
