Electrical Engineer Job

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in EMERYVILLE, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- BS Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years related industry experience required
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE and OSHA standards and relevant industry specific experience
- Position may require travel up to 10% to equipment vendors during the design and construction of any new investments

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Directly supports site capital projects by performing engineering studies, specifying, designing and overseeing installation of electrical equipment
- Acts as a liaison between project teams, site engineering, contractors and public utilities supporting the Emeryville campus
- Oversee operations and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and power systems
- Provide overall electrical technical guidance for facility projects involving design
- Review and estimate design cost including equipment wiring and installation
- Provide engineering support to assure compliance with regulatory requirements including NEC, UL, NFPA, IEEE and OSHA standards
- Prepare electrical drawings such as single and three phase systems, panel board schedules, calculations, and motor control wiring.
- Provides engineering support for investigation of incidents involving electrical system and equipment failures

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry a plus
- Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare industry a plus
- Direct experience with regulated environments (eg cGMP, OSHA, EPA) preferred
