Electrical Design Engineer

Modis are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer looking for a chance to work on leading edge technology within a fast paced and growing organisation based in Southampton. Following a recent injection of capital and new development projects in the pipeline, this is a great time to become part of a team in one of the more interesting engineering companies on the south coast.

The Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and analysis of electrical parts, components, assemblies, sub-assemblies and the productions of associated drawings and instructions to fit the high power products.

You will be part of a highly motivated and ambitious team guided towards the overall success of the team and as well as achievement of individual goals.

It is therefore essential that candidate have the following skills and experience;
*Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
*At least 3 - 4 years of related experience with an emphasis on power conversion equipment.
*Experience on interfacing microgeneration systems to LV or MV up to 33kV.
*Experience in CE Marking.
*Experience with cabinet design/19" racking
*Ability to perform and/or oversee laboratory high power drives testing.
*Desirable to be certified to 17th edition wiring regulations.

£30-35 per hour based on experience, with some flexibility for outstanding applicants. Hours of work are Mon to Thurs 8.30-17.00 and finish 13.30 on Fridays.
