Electrical Design Engineer

My client is looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to join their world leading aerospace company. Based in the heart of the East Midlands they are offering a rate of £35-8p/h.

In this role you will provide technical excellence and leadership in the field of Engines and Power. You will also provide input to the Services (SER) design authority process and be responsible for authorisation of design changes from a system perspective. You will provide Engines & Power specialist support to the Fleet (UK) and Vehicle Refurbishment businesses (VRM) with SER. You will also be responsible for improvements in Engines & Power life cycle cost (LCC) reductions and to develop cost reduction and new business by the development of innovative winning solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

- Proactive management / review of Engines & Power LCC for nominated fleets with a view to continual improvement through design change, material resourcing or maintenance regime change. Lead the team to ensure that projects that achieve the above are delivered to time a budget.
- Provision of technical input and data for MSA / TSSA / Fleet maintenance bids where required.
- Provision of technical support to the SER UK contracts to enable service problem resolution using standard tools i.e. FRACAS, and maintenance of the safety of the fleet.
- Provide Design Engineering support to the Engineering Change process to ensure full execution of SER UK design authority obligations by ensuring that all changes relevant to Engines & Power are fully assessed
