Electrial Design Engineer

My client based in Worcester is urgently seeking a highly motivated, innovative electrical design engineer for a 2-3 month rolling contract.

Candidates need to have an understanding and working experience developing new products through design, manufacturing and support through the product life cycle.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Design of electrical schematics
- Develop electrical circuits and control algorithms
- Design, document, and validate designs
- Bill of materials
- Write engineering requirements, test plans, validation reports
- Perform electrical analysis
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Position requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 6 years related electrical design experience

Beneficial but not essential - - Working knowledge of single and 3-phase switching power inverter topologies

- Understanding of digital controls of 3-phase switching power converters
- Ability to model and simulate complex circuits
- Ability to follow algorithms coded in C and C++ programming languages
- Knowledge of PLC
