Elasticsearch Technology Specialist

Profs4U is looking for an ElasticSearch Technology Specialist... for an International client in the Netherlands

Contract period of 1,5 months +, Work location the Haque,
Starting 26/05/2014. 40 hours per week, Excellent daily rates,
Closing date 12/05/2014 - 16:00.

The Contractor shall perform an infrastructure audit and validation by code review on the Client's new search engine based on ElasticSearch technology, named Ansera. This includes a recommendation on performance improvements on a significant scale.

The audit shall include the following mitigation points:

make range queries more efficient by improving numbers look-up in the index;
implement caching of search results on markers level;
custom ES operation routing, to distribute the load smoother across the cluster.

The work shall be executed in 3 stages:

ElasticSearch plugin & custom code review - The Contractor shall perform a systematic examination of the application code in order to improve general quality through early error detection, more efficient or better performing implementation alternatives.
System Infrastructure Design.
Solution Architecture Design.

The Client may invite the Contractor(s), to give a presentation of their knowledge before final decision. The contractor should have:

Clear evidence of knowledge of ElasticSearch technology.
Proven knowledge on complex search technology in the field of IP.
Working language is English
Dutch, German and/or French is a pre.
