Role:

Technical Architect

This role will require key contribution to the design and delivery of a variety of strategic programmes and business critical initiatives within a dynamic and challenging IT environment.

You will be expected to: develop detailed technical designs and produce a range of documents such as high and low level designs; assist in costing an end-to-end solution for Business cases; help to bridge the business/ technology direction; lead technical workshops; be accountable for technical solutions from design to operations.

In addition, you will advise on technology- enabled business and apply your SME knowledge to drive progress.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role will involve supporting the following activities:

Engage with the Project delivery team to ensure solutions remain aligned with the technical and delivery standards;

Production and communication of high level and low level design documents to the team, directing them to review specific areas of documentation that affect their areas;

Engaging with technical SMEs to ensure designs fit with the existing infrastructure;

Maintain and review, update and communicate infrastructure and application technology standards;

Promote the use of EA technical standards with development projects ensuring alignment with architectural review processes;

Assisting project teams where necessary

Oversight of project build and implementation

Qualification/ Experience Required:

Technical Architecture

Technical documentation production to include High-level and Low-level designs.

Knowledge and experience of: Microsoft management technologies (e.g. AD, patching, software rollout etc); Blackberry Enterprise, Virtualisation (desktopDocument Management systems, remote access solutions; data migration
