Role:

Service Transition Analyst role

Key Areas of Responsibility:

To play a key role in managing new IT Services into live support through:

1 Supporting the project to interface into the Client delivery teams, aligning with the business change life cycle
2 Ensure that projects deliver fit for purpose solutions, with regards to supportability
3 Capture business area risks as required
4 Minimising impact post implementation to live service

The role will work within the Service Introduction processes, producing the following key products:

1 Service Design package which articulates the changes to our IT Live Service Model
2 Cost Model which demonstrates the changes to the IT Live Services cost base generated by the project
3 Warranty Plan to support a warranty review period
4 Warranty Report detailing the outcome of the warranty review period

The following are the main duties a Service Introduction Analyst will be engaged with:

1 Supporting the project to interface into IT support teams, aligning with the Change Life Cycle
2 Ensure that project deliveries are fit for purpose in support terms
3 Capture risks to IT support functions, resources and finances

The role will work within the Service Introduction processes, producing the following products:

1 A Service Design Package which articulates the changes to our IT Live Service Model
2 A Cost Model which demonstrates the changes to the IT Live Services cost base generated by the project
3 Create a Warranty Plan to support a warranty review period

1 Write a Warranty Report detailing the outcome of the warranty review period

Skills/ Experience required:

* Must hold live DV Level Security Clearance
* Experience in managing Service Introduction or Service Delivery Management in a complex IT environment;
* Experience of Service Introduction governance processes;
* Experience of managing complex, multi- stakeholder relationships in complex IT projects;
* Experience of the creation of financial cost models

Extensive experience of ITIL framework;

* The ITIL Foundation qualification is preferred
* ITIL Service Delivery qualification is an advantage
* Awareness of IT project management methodologies;
* Awareness of IT project planning and resource management;
* Awareness of IT service delivery and IT operations management;
* A formal Project Management qualification (eg. Prince2) is preferred but not essential
