Overview of Requirement:

An experienced and expert senior IT consultant with recent and detailed experience of large procurement projects gathering and defining requirements, facilitating the competition process and planning transition. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with colleagues in the organisation and other government organisations on a £multi-million joint procurement for a managed service for the provision of utility storage and processing capabilities. They will comfortable working with senior stakeholders, supplier personnel and technical experts to ensure the quality of the services procured.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

* Demonstrable success in taking a pivotal role in large-scale technical procurement projects in complex organisations where good stakeholder engagement is critical.
* Experience of identifying, documenting and assuring requirements;
* Self-starter with good organisational and management skills. Capable of leading small teams and managing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
* Service Delivery- Proven experience of working in an IT service delivery environment preferable within an ITIL service management environment
* Able to apply a wide range of business analysis skills, requirements gathering and techniques to investigate and solve a variety of complex service delivery challenges.

Highly Desirable Skills and Experience:

* Requirements' Analysis;
* Experience of working on data centre projects
* Workshop facilitation
* Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technologies
* Business case development and planning.

Job Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain the service requirements and ensure that they reflect the business need;
* Ensure that the business stakeholders remain engaged in and supportive of the requirements development;
* Gather information for bidders' due diligence investigations and support inspection by bidders;
* Organise and take part in bidder briefings and any clarification of requirements;
* Support the proof of concept and trail exercises by compiling requirements, advising suppliers and assuring results;
* Support and contribute to the presentation of the business's business case and other submissions to government;
* Support and contribute to the business's transition plan to the new service;
* Participate in the evaluation of bidders' proposals
* Contribute to contract negotiation and advise as required;
* Develop and manage the requirements for exit from existing supply arrangements;
* Advise and support project activities.
