We build our own Java application and this Java application uses an Oracle Database.
So a tester on our Scrum Development team should
- Learn our application
- Review the Java code we write in our application Front End (User interface actions)
- Create Java unit tests (using a tool like junit)
- Create User Interface tests (using a tool like Selenium)
- So need to have basic knowledge of testing best practices and some experience in writing these kinds of tests
- If the tester also knows SQL or Oracle PL/SQL he/she could do the same for our Back End SQL and PL/SQL code
