Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Front End Developer to join a prestigious client located in Mol, Belgium. This is a short term contract with a duration of 1 - 2 months.

Your New role:-
Within the Spatial Environmental Issues unit, we are looking for a software consultant to assist us in the development of web-based portals. The consultant will develop the web portals on top of a REST-based Back End currently being developed within VITO. The consultant takes the full Front End and can provide input for Back End API support in terms of security, performance and flexibility.
VITO wishes to work according to an Agile development methodology, in which, in close cooperation with the consultant in short sprints, limited functionality is always elaborated. We anticipate that the expected 15-30 days will be spent in 2017, but not as a continuous task to allow VITO to discuss the results with the various stakeholders before adding additional functionality.
The planning can therefore be made flexible in consultation with the consultant.
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Extensive experience in using recent HTML5 technologies (Javascript - CSS) for developing web applications (Angular, Sass, ...).
- Extensive experience in using recent Javascript frameworks for developing web applications (Npm, Gulp, Bower, ...).
- The candidate can demonstrate that he/she also has the necessary graphical qualities to create an attractive and clear web portal.
- The candidate has a broad understanding of contemporary frameworks, technologies and methodologies. He/she can critically evaluate the methods used and make improvements.
- Any experience with regard to security CF. REST-based applications are a plus.
