Dutch Speaking Data Engineer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Data Engineer to join a prestigious client located in Brussels, Belgium. This is a contract position with a duration of 2 months. The role will start in January and will finish at the end of February.

Our Client:-
The Ministry of the Flemish Community (MVG) was from January 1, 1983 to January 1, 2006 the official organization of the Government of Flanders, where the Flemish Government policy is implemented. The ministry was divided into departments were headed by a Secretary-General. The departments knew another subdivision in administrations. The administrations were led by a Director General.

Your New role:-

The Data Engineer is used for projects within the ICT department of ANB, among others in the framework of the LIFE project (LIFE 14 IPE B002 BNIP action A9).

As part of these projects, all Natura2000 (IHD) data must be integrated into one database, from which it will have to be reported. This means that all relevant ANB databases from IHD customer perspective be tolerable. That is why ANB needs a robust IHD (GEO) database, a flexible and efficient document/report generation and low-threshold accessibility for all ANB employees and stakeholders.

Essential Skills:-
- Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, SQL Analysis Services
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016
- Microsoft Database Administration MS environments
- Microsoft Excel PowerPivot Medior
- Microsoft Programming .NET
- Microsoft Office environment
- Design, creation and follow-up of the database architecture and data models
- Demonstrable experience concerning the conversion of domain to data models
- Knowledge and experience with UML
- Experience with working in Agile development teams
- Plus: knowledge and experience with ArcGIS
- Openness and transparency in communication
- Meticulously documented
- Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch
