Drilling Cost Controller

Projektbeschreibung
Based in Stavanger, our client is looking for a Drilling Cost Controller for a temporary contract position lasting approximately 18 months to be responsible for the accounting and reporting of the company's operated drilling activity within Norway. Along with the maintenance of the joint venture inventory accounting records.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manages month-end well accruals, which are calculated and posted onto SAP
- Checks and maintains daily drilling forecasts
- Reviews variance analysis against budget/previous forecasts
- Seen as the first point of contact for all Norway-operated drilling accounting requests
- Oversees the production of drilling costs for the Drilling and Norway management team
- Verifies invoices, which includes coding, contract compliance, checking against commitment, budget levels
- Provides operational supervision to Accounts Payable Analyst for resolving complex dispute invoices, by close interaction with drilling team and vendors
- Organizes and participates in regular Inventory/stock checks at all locations where stock is held (including third party storage)
- Presents Norway-operated drilling accounting status to internal management and partners
- Supports the Finance Manager in managing finance related matters emerging on interfaces between the company's (drilling and asset teams) and drilling rig consortium members, vendors and JV partners
REQUIRED SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of drilling accounting, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Experience within SAP JV and Financial Accounting (FI) modules
- Good understanding of drilling equipment and processes
- Solid forecasting and arithmetic skills
- Knowledge/understanding of stock, inventory control and management
- Understanding JV accounting
