Position: Information Systems Domain Architect
Job type: Contract (3 months Initially)

Location: Hampshire easily commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Farnborough and with excellent access from Surrey
Rate: £44.25 p/h - Negotiable hourly rate

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a Domain Architect for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Domain Architect role is to specify, design and assure information systems that support core organisational functions within key account or functional areas. The job holder will work within the EITS Architecture group to define robust and cost effective solution architectures and designs to meet the business objectives and requirements of the customer, with accountability for delivery of fit for purpose solutions within domain area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Domain Architect candidate will be responsible for the following:
Engage with the business and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of IM&T architecture and solutions with the business strategy and objectives.
Capture the as-is business, application, data and technology architectures for the business.
Define the future state architecture business, application, data and technology architectures for the business in line with the business strategy and objectives.
Define the IM&T roadmap for the business within domain area.
Provide IM&T subject matter expertise to the business and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to share domain knowledge and best practice, driving organisational capability development in this area. Liaison with the product suppliers, COTS component vendors and sub-contract development teams
Ensure consistency and integrity of the solution implementation through overseeing the solution development process, and production of development work products
Provide design management and governance through the operation of change and configuration management activities
Work effectively with the Project Managers to support the development of the project plan, through assisting with the compilation and review of estimates and schedules, and identification of risks
Engage with customers and stakeholders to develop solution requirements and solution design.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Proven knowledge and experience of working within architecture frameworks eg TOGAF, MODAF, Zachman
IS/Engineering diploma/degree or equivalent
Proven experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans and roadmaps.
Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis. Proven experience in design and development of Information systems.
Knowledge of Service Integration and Management principles and practices
In-depth technical knowledge of IS Architecture underpinning ITIL service operations
Enterprise Architecture min level 5
Information Management min level 5

Must be eligible to gain UK SC Clearance.
