Document Controller/Technical Document Controller

Document controller/Technical Document Controller required for a world leading Oil and Gas Company based out of Peterhead for an initial 5 month contract.

Role Summary/Purpose

* Client facing role to take control of the document control tasks

* Providing Manufacturing Record Books in accordance with customer requirements.

* Experience of checking material certification to specification and purchase order requirements

* Coordinate COE and product lines - collating information etc

* Ensure that such packages are delivered in a timely manner and that the quality of presentation and legibility is satisfactory and in accordance with requirements.

* Attend MRB meetings and provide updated record for communication of status and performance to management.

* Liaison with supply chain personnel and suppliers on missing or inaccurate documentation/certificates

* Expediting of missing/priority documents and assisting the QC inspectors with the generation of non-conformances to be raised where certificates or documents do not meet specification

* Release of documentation in the SIMON system to support the GI inspection process.

* Scanning of various documentation and uploading of material records into the system

Qualifications/Requirements

* Good knowledge and proficiency of standard computer software

* Previous experience of working in a document control role

* Strong client facing skills

* Experience of checking material certification to specification and purchase order requirements

* A good knowledge and understanding of traceability systems and processes.

Desired Characteristics

* Previous Experience within the Oil and Gas industry

* HNC level qualification

* Previous experience of working in a lead capacity

* Preferred knowledge or some understanding of chemical and mechanical testing requirements
