DNS Systems Engineer Job

DNS SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO.

TOP SKILLS:

- DNS Design, Operations and Support
- TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, and DHCP
- Linux Red Hat
- Servers (backups, monitoring, routine maintenance)
- Troubleshooting tools (ie tcpdump, netstat, iostat, traceroute, snoop)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Maintain and administer UNIX-based (*nix, Solaris, Linux/Red Hat) computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Maintaining existing Servers (backups, monitoring, routine maintenance, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking equipment and most open source services.
- Advanced experience with performance tuning, package installation, patch management updates, network and server management issues.
- Expert knowledge of troubleshooting tools (ie tcpdump, netstat, iostat, traceroute, snoop).
- Advanced experience with System monitoring applications (Nagios, Solarwinds, HP Openview, etc).
- Working within LAN/WAN topology, network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, DNS and DHCP), Switches and Firewalls

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience with Radius/NAP Integration/IPSec/IPv6
- Experience with HSRP and various other redundancy protocols
- Experience with DHCP Services Design and Administration
- Experience with DNS Design, Operations and Support
- Experience with NTP Design, Operations and Support
- Experience with TFTP Design, Operations and Support
- Experience with SMTP Design, Operations and Support
- Experience with Web Proxy Design and Support
- Experience with Load Balancer productions (Foundry, Brocade, A10, F5, etc)
- Experience with Configuration Management Systems (CFEngine, Puppet, etc.)
- Experience with Out of Band services, operations, and support (Cyclades, Raritan, etc.)
