Divisional Project Manager - SC Clearance Required

Divisional Project Manager - SC clearance required for a leading global defence company based in the Bournemouth area (Hurn).

The position reports to the D&S Divisional Project Manager for the group-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for HR, Finance, Procurement and Projects.

Initially this role will be to scope the projects to the Project PID stage incorporating a Project schedule, but may expand to progress one or more of the projects identified.

The follow on role will be to manage one or more D&S specific projects.

The projects will need to:-

- Align to the design and implementation of the Core ERP(SAP) solution.
- Align to the wider strategic Divisional objectives.
- Be implemented with minimum business disruption to D&S.
- Satisfy any regulatory and compliance requirements.

Although the role will have a Divisional focus it will also require significant engagement across the wider Group supporting the introduction of the ERP solution.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Initially the role will focus on engaging

- Engaging with multiple D&S and Group stakeholders to scope the D&S specific projects required to support Neptune and to document that within formal project documentation.

Subsequently, if chosen to manage one or more specific projects, the role would include:-

- To work with the D&S Divisional business units and functional units and also with the Group Programme to deliver projects on behalf of the Defence and Security Division.
- To manage the permanent and interim resources and stakeholders allocated to the project(s) effectively to deliver the outcomes defined within the parameters required.
- Whilst accepting that it is unlikely that the transition to the new service will not be risk free, steps must be taken to mitigate those risks with the support of the stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experienced programme and/or divisional project manager.
- Experience of security and defence projects
- PRINCE 2

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Significant experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.

SECURITY CRITERIA TO BE ACHIEVED:

- MOD SC Security clearance.
- Other security clearances as contracts demand.
